September 2011 - Blackstone M&C facilitates financing of $31.5 Million Investment

WORCESTER MA – Blackstone Management & Consulting arranged a  $28.9 Million senior secured credit facility for a real estate investment firm headquartered in western Massachusetts that specializes in opportunistic multifamily residential investment and operations. The new facility serves to provide bridge financing capability as the firm acquires control positions on properties of interest.

The firms founder Mr. Glenn Hanson of Colony Hills Capital said…” Blackstone was instrumental in negotiating terms that allowed us to bridge to a successful close”   “further, this effort led to acquisition capital on an ongoing basis allowing us to meet our target $100 million per year of new asset purchases”

The company was formed in 2008 when the founders determined changes in in commercial real estate valuations and financing would have a positive long term affect on multifamily investment opportunity. Blackstone Management & Consulting originally became involved in late 2010 when asked by the founders to provide an assessment of the company’s overall strategic plan and investment strategy and to implement additional financial systems.  Blackstone worked closely with the company’s management to develop a clear understanding of the specific market segments and opportunities and after due consideration repositioned the company to execute larger deals accelerating its growth and profitability timetables.
